Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Qbar Tech ("Qbar Tech", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website, contact us, or use products and services that we build and operate. By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
Qbar Tech is a software development studio based in Malaysia. We build mobile apps, web platforms, and AI tools. For any privacy related question you can reach us at techqbar@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect only the information we need to respond to you and to operate our services:
- Contact information you choose to give us, such as your name and email address when you email us or fill in a form.
- Message content you send us about a project or enquiry.
- Basic technical data that most websites receive automatically, such as your browser type, device type, and general location derived from your IP address, used to keep the site secure and working.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
3. How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiries and provide the services you request.
- To operate, maintain, and improve our website and products.
- To keep our services secure and to prevent abuse or fraud.
- To comply with legal obligations that apply to us.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third party advertising.
4. Legal bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent when you contact us, on our legitimate interest in running and improving our business, and on compliance with legal obligations.
5. Third party services
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run our website and services, for example hosting and infrastructure providers such as Cloudflare, and email providers used to receive and answer your messages. These providers process data only as needed to deliver their service to us. Where a product we build integrates with a platform such as Meta, Google, or a payment provider, that integration is governed by the platform's own terms and privacy policy in addition to this one.
6. Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, or as required by law. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. You may ask us to delete your data at any time (see Data Deletion below).
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email us at techqbar@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
8. Data deletion
You can request deletion of your personal data at any time. Please see our Data Deletion page for full instructions, or email techqbar@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my data".
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data.
10. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where that happens, we take steps to ensure your information remains protected in line with this policy.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
12. Contact us
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, contact us at techqbar@gmail.com.
